As a fine art photographer, I created AROUND YOU to challenge narrow representations of Black fine art photographers and offer a new visual narrative — one that reflects depth, joy, and humanity.  With AROUND YOU, I set out to expand how Black fine art photographers are seen, especially in spaces like the board book genre, where we’re often left out entirely. This book isn’t just for learning words, it’s for learning perspectives.
